Meeting Highlights:
Commissioners hold an execute session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) for 15 minutes to discuss ongoing litigation. Esther Milner, Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor and Shelley Keitzman, Human Resources and Risk Management, are invited.
Nick Bates, Fairgrounds Manager, updates the commissioners on the flooding at the Agriplex. He thinks it can be fixed for less than $5,000.
Pete Palmer, Planning Director, tells the commissioners that the Public Health Department will no longer issue an Overnight Transient Accommodation permit, and so the County Code should be changed so that the permit isn’t required for Nightly Rentals. They decide to consult with Esther Milner about the best way to make the change.
Susan Speiker, Superior Court Clerk, tells the commissioners of an “event” which caused the Washington State Court System to decide to go off-line for possibly a week.
Commissioners held budget sessions for Superior Court, Juvenile Court, the Coroner’s Office, and Facility Maintenance.
Meeting adjourned for the day at 4:07.
