Meeting Highlights:
Commissioners hear brief updates from Pete Palmer, Planning Department, Mike Worden, Dispatch Center, Laura Sorenson, Fair Advisory Committee, Nick Bates, Fairgrounds Manager, Tim Meadows, Maintenance Supervisor and Maurice Goodall, Emergency Management.
Susan Speiker, Clerk of the Courts, updates the commissioners about the new e-filing system, a proposed text message system to alert people of their upcoming court dates, and the repair to the “workflows and queues system”.
The commissioners pass Resolution 140-2025, authorizing the Current Expense levy in addition to the percentage change allow by law, and also pass Resolution 141-2025, doing the same for the Roads levy.
The commissioners had scheduled public hearings for the Oroville Rural EMS District, the Tonasket EMS District and the Methow EMS District. Unfortunately, they realize they don’t have the correct figures to include in the levy certification resolutions, so they move to continue the hearings until Nov. 17.
Meeting adjourned at 12:10.
