Meeting Highlights:
Commissioners enact two ordinances, amending the Okanogan County Code (OCC). Ordinance 2025-6 removes the need to have stable based mylar and puts our code in alignment with Washington State Code. Ordinance 2025-7 amends OCC 12.25 which relates to 911 physical addressing.
Cortner Architectural has submitted a bid to be the county’s on-call architectural firm. Jim Cortner gives a presentation to the commissioners to support the bid.
Josh Thomson, County Engineer, gives his weekly update to the commissioners. They discuss the Forest Service wanting the county to take over a Forest Service road, and four unsafe bridges on state highways in the county. Thomson says it will cost hundreds of millions of dollars to repair all four. The bridge at Gold Creek on Hwy 153 has been reduced to one lane with signals at both ends because the side rails on one side have deteriorated so badly.
Meeting adjourned at 11:19.
