Meeting Highlights:
The update by Josh Thomson, County Engineer, includes information about county residents learning of cuts to the 2026 Roads Budget and the need to find a new gravel pit to replace the pit in Wauconda which is about used up.
Commissioners Neal and Timm discuss resolving a conflict about rodeo events at the upcoming fair. They agree that the events for kids have priority over the events for adults.
Commissioners pass a resolution naming Stan Myers interim Office of Public Defense Director.
Commissioners go into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)—risk of a potential action. Inviting Shelley Keitzman (Human Resources and Risk Management) and Esther Milner (Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor) for 15 minutes. When they return, Keitzman asks the commissioners to sign a specialized services agreement with Public Safety Testing to do background checks, administrative workplace investigations and other services to public agencies.
