Meeting Highlights:
The commissioners expect the three EMS levies to fail because the total vote in each race won’t reach the threshold of 40% of voters in the last general election. They plan to put the levies on the ballot again for the February Special Election.
Josh Thomson, County Engineer, expects major cuts to the Roads Budget for 2026. The annual payment of approximately $750,000 from the Forest Service’s SRS (Secure Rural Schools) program may not be funded by Congress anymore.
