Meeting Highlights: 

  • Pete Palmer, Director of Planning, urges the commissioners to continue working on the recommendations for zone code changes made by the Planning Commission. They hope to finish that work up probably in a meeting next week.

  • Palmer and Maurice Goodall, Emergency Management, discuss the communications problems between the county and the Tribal Council that occurred last week during the Swalwell Fire on the reservation.

  • Mike Wardon, Okanogan County Dispatch Center, updates the commissions on applying to buy 250 radios for fire districts, EMS districts and the police. This is 1/3 of the radios that the county will need for interagency communications during emergencies.

  • Teddy Chow, Prosecutor’s Office, asks the commissioners to buy the Karpel case management software for the office.

  • Meeting adjourned at 12:15.
