Meeting Highlights:

· To comply with deadlines, upcoming state audit won’t include routine 2-year accountability audit; lead auditor Steven Gadd and team will review all 2024 finances, 40% of dollar amounts of grants, notably Covid fiscal recovery funds (the object of a finding last year), and schools and roads, audited every three years

· Three levels of reporting: a “finding” to which one may respond in writing, available to the public; the (less serious) “management letter”, and the “exit item” which doesn’t appear in audit report

· County Auditor Cari Hall praised for going “above and beyond-” with material she provides
