Meeting Highlights:

• Commissioners meet with Kirsten Wilson, Program Manager, Washington Department of Enterprise  Services. She worked with the county when Ameresco installed the jail cooling system. They have a  long discussion about potential fixes for the current system, as well as possible sources of money to  help fund a replacement.

• Larry Hudson, Manager of the Noxious Weed Board, says aquatic spraying of herbicides is about to  begin. Also, the spray equipment lease program will get underway this summer. Finally, Hudson  hopes to have the Washington Weed Control Board require Douglas County to establish its own  Weed Control Board. Douglas County is the only county in the state without one.

• Josh Thomson, County Engineer, updates the commissioners about Public Works. The commissioners  will change the speed limit on Twin Lakes Rd. near the schools from 50 mph to 35 mph.

• Meeting adjourned at 11:36.
