04.01.2025 Tues AM BOCC

Meeting Highlights:

  • Commissioners Neal and Timm discuss Monday’s BOCC meeting concerning cannabis grows and the Planning Department. During the public comment period, a grower talks about his experiences with being in compliance with Planning and wonders why his annual permit fee is so high.

  • Zak Kennedy, Couty Lobbyist, updates the commissioners on last week in the legislature. He calls it a week of mind-numbing dullness.

  • The commissioners discuss the possibility of borrowing $500,000from the Solid Waste Closure Fund to pay for the jail’s HVAC system. Pam Johnson, County Treasurer, and three people from Public Works are involved. The commissioners have yet to decide if they’ll borrow the money or not.
