Meeting Highlights:
· Fairgrounds update: groomer has been repaired; plans to donate manure compost to school garden programs; weed control bids; well drilling details
· Planning Dept update: discussion about proposed cannabis moratorium and enforcement of rules in general; BOCC votes to approve 6 month moratorium on new cannabis growing operations; flood plain update; discussion about health department role in determining water availability and adequacy.
· Update on new morgue and Sheriff storage building. Work is progressing slowly, discussion about upgrading some materials.
· Veterans Relief Board Update: discussion about services provided in recent months, plans for future; since the VRB is a county department, they have not seen any funding cuts yet.
· Public Hearing on 4 open open space applications: public input from Methow Conservancy on suggested changes to future applications. BOCC votes to approve all 4 applications.
· Search and Rescue (SAR) update: discussion about using funds for thermal drone, boating safety.
