Meeting Highlights:
Jim Miller of Omak has sent his resume to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Planning Commission. The commissioners tell him they’ll look at all the applications when March ends and will let him know.
Commissioner Hover doesn’t think the purchase of scuba gear for Search and Rescue (SAR) will meet the requirements for Title III funding. Items bought with Title III funds must be used on federal forestland. SAR will meet with the commissioners again next week to discuss what to do.
Commissioners hear from Dan Wolf about costs and methods he proposes to test the capacity of the injection well that the jail’s air conditioning system uses. It could cost as much as $167,000 to test the well. The commissioners and Tim Meadows, Maintenance Supervisor, consider several options for the jail’s system.
Josh Thomas, County Engineer updates the commissioners about Public Works.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30.
