Meeting Highlights:
· Sheriff Dept employee psych evaluations going to different company
· Discussion of Federal immigration policy. Comm. Hover suggests writing Homeland Security in favor of expediting more timely naturalization of immigrants by reducing any funding now used to help support Sesame Street.
· Fairgrounds manager update – status of wells, potential new use of buildings, another applicant for Fair Advisory Committee.
· Planning Director update on cannabis producer non-compliance.
· Maintenance Director update – new carpet, improperly installed windows.
· Zoom bombing – pornography and racist statements shut down Zoom.
· WA State Audit exit interview for year 2023 – Okanogan County has excellent audit with only one minor finding.
· Public Works update – road conditions, potential legislation that will impact county, carbon tax, local basketball schedule
